A man was arrested Friday morning in Naples after allegedly battering his longtime girlfriend and threatening her with a gun.Naples police responded to reports of a domestic violence incident involving a firearm at the intersection of 5th Avenue South and Davis Boulevard.The victim reported that a man was chasing her with a gun and attempting to harm her. However, the call was disconnected before she could provide a name or location. Officers located the victim walking east on US-41 with luggage and visible facial injuries. She told them her boyfriend, Jamise Bozeman, 48, took her phone away while speaking with a 911 operator during a physical altercation at a nearby hotel.While police spoke with the victim, Bozeman drove past in a silver Honda and was promptly detained during a traffic stop.Two loaded guns were found inside the car. According to the Naples Police Department, Bozeman has prior felony convictions in both Georgia and Florida, making it illegal for him to possess a firearm.The victim was treated for her injuries by Collier County EMS.Bozeman was booked into the Collier County Jail and is facing charges including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, tampering with a victim, and domestic violence.
