Ouyang Nana Had To Explain Why She Graduated From Berklee College of Music With A Diploma Instead Of A Degree After Netizens Mock Her Grad Pics

Getting into the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts is a dream for anyone who would like to pursue a career in music.

And Taiwanese actress Ouyang Nana, who can play the cello, piano and guitar, has been living that dream since 2018.

Recently, the 23-year-old star took to social media to share that she finally graduated after six years. 

In the pics she posted, Nana was seated in a grass patch next to a sign that read "So proud of our graduate" and a red balloon with the words: "Class of 2024".

In another photo, Nana was playing with a dog in front of giant balloons that spelled: "Grad" in caps. 

While it was a joyous occasion for the actress, netizens found reason to be sour about it.

According to some netizens, Nana, who is said to be a musical prodigy, graduated Berklee with a diploma and not a bachelor's degree.

Some claimed that she had "bad grades" and "failed her dissertation" and was denied a degree. 

Nana has since clapped back at those netizens in a seven-minute video.

She explained that the difference between a diploma and a bachelor's degree at Berklee is based on whether the student attended the cultural modules or not.

Nana opted for the diploma so to save time and so she can simultaneously focus on her flourishing career in China.
