Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan once again captured the world’s attention as she returned to the Cannes Film Festival and walked down the iconic red carpet.
Dressed to impress in a dramatic custom-made black and gold gown by designers Falguni and Shane Peacock, Aishwarya embraced and celebrated her curves, earning praise from fans and netizens alike. Following her grand appearance on the red carpet, some netizens hopped on the troll brigade and shared their dislike for the dress, however, there were others who hailed the actress for promoting body positivity.

Fans were quick to take to the comments section to praise her for "slaying" the red carpet with her curves and exuding confidence.
"Y'all talk about different body types and serving them as it is. So here it is! Mother just slaying her curves and the dress," one fan wrote.

Another added, "She is literally 50 years old, she looks spectacular."
Comments celebrating her confidence and poise poured in, with fans stating, "QUEEN Aishwarya is serving Face and Confidence," and "In awe of how she presents herself every time."
One admirer humorously noted, "Graduated from mother university with a degree of motherlogy and PhD of servingtion."

While many compared Ash's dress to a 'craft project', fans could not deny that the corset dress showed off her curves.
Aishwarya's ensemble featured golden patterns and puffed sleeves, with a long train adorned with 3D gold floral embellishments. She complemented the striking gown with nude makeup and styled her hair in a half-tied do.

This year’s Cannes Film Festival, which runs from May 14 to May 25, has the theme "Many Ways To Be An Icon," perfectly aligning with Aishwarya's empowering red carpet statement. Her appearance was part of her role an international beauty brand, celebrating its 27th year at Cannes.
Aishwarya also won appreciation for her resilience as she was spotted wearing an arm sling due to a recent injury. Despite this, she walked the red carpet with her usual grace and confidence. There to keep a company off the carpet, was daughter Aaradhya Bachchan, who kept a watchful eye on the injured actress to assist her as she made her way through the festival.
On the work front, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan last graced the big screen in her mentor, Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan I’ and its sequel ‘Ponniyin Selvan II’.
