NEW DELHI: Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 17 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in the state of Telangana. It comprises seven Assembly segments including including Malakpet, Karwan, Goshamahal, Charminar, Chandrayangutta, Yakutpura and Bahadurpura.

In Hyderabad, BJP's candidate Madhavi Latha, a classical dancer and entrepreneur, is challenging the incumbent MP and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi who seeking his fifth term from the constituency.
Hyderabad has been a AIMIM stronghold with Owaisi winning the seat for four terms since 2004. Prior to 2004, Owaisi's father Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi represented Hyderabad in the Lok Sabha for six consecutive terms.
Main parties
The Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) in 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Telangana had won 9 of the 17 seats, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won four seats, Congress 3 and Asaduddin Owaisi was the only AIMIM candidate to emerge victorious from his Hyderabad constituency. In the 2023 assembly elections Congress won 64 seats, BRS won 39 seats, BJP 8 and AIMIM got 7 seats. CPI won 1 seat.

Lok Sabha 2019 election result
In the 2019 elections, the Hyderabad parliamentary constituency saw a total of 1,957,931 eligible voters, with 877,872 valid votes cast. Asaduddin Owaisi, representing the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, emerged victorious with a total of 517,471 votes. Meanwhile, Dr. Bhagavanth Rao, the candidate from the Bharatiya Janata Party, secured second place with 235,285 votes, trailing by a significant margin of 282,186 votes.
Voting date and result
The 17 constituencies in Telangana are scheduled to go to poll on May 13 in the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024 with over 3.17 crore voters eligible to cast their votes.
