Theisen, Bette Berg was born in Minneapolis, MN on December 15, 1938 and passed away on July 17, 2023. Bette was preceded in death by her husband, Marlyn Theisen, her parents, Harold Berg and Alyce Iverson Berg; by her brother, Richard Berg, and by her son, Steven Theisen. She is survived by her children, Anne Theisen (Arloc Sherman), Allen Theisen (Taya Rotering), and Neil Theisen (Angela Danzeisen Theisen); by her daughter-in-law, Catherine Poland Theisen; by her grandchildren: Amie Penalber Walgrave (Aaron Blackstone), Mandie Penalber (Nathan Stahn), Jessica Penalber, Landon Theisen, Kathrin Theisen Bonello (Derek Bonello), Alex Theisen (Jessie Eckroad), Darrow Sherman, Jack Theisen, Donovan Theisen, Leo Theisen, and Aliyana Theisen; and by her great-grand-children: Carson, Savannah and Stella Walgrave, Kassidy and Lexander Theisen, and Luca Bonello. Bette will be remembered for her wry sense of humor and her love of family. She worked at Prudential Insurance Company and The Minneapolis Foundation where, in both instances, she worked her way from entry level to departmental management positions. She enjoyed gardening and feeding birds (and the occasional red squirrel). She adored watching her children and grandchildren perform in theater, music, and sporting events and was hard-pressed to miss any opportunity to sing their praises. She was a master of trivia and random knowledge and often astonished family and friends with obscure but interesting tidbits of information. She loved good food, traveling, and sharing adventures with family. She will be dearly missed. The lives of both Bette and Marlyn Theisen will be celebrated on May 25th, from noon - 3:00 pm, at the family cabin: 18877 Waco Street, NE Elk River, MN. Bette and Marlyn were both proud graduates of Minneapolis South High.
