Emmerdale ‘confirms’ Ella’s secret as major EastEnders legend exits in 25 new soap spoilers

Weddings are nothing if not a recipe for disaster in soapland and next week is home to not one but two so there is absolute chaos on the cards, as confirmed in my new spoilers.

The much-loved TV genre has been knocking it out of the park as of late and next week is set to see this trend very much continue, with EastEnders home to the culmination of Whitney Dean’s exit storyline.

The legendary character is all set to walk down the aisle but her moment of happiness is, in typical Walford fashion, scuppered – as a major secret is exposed on the big day.

Hollyoaks, meanwhile, sees a similar turn of events as Leela Lomax and Joel Dexter’s nuptials lead to conflict aplenty, with Marie Fielding on the warpath as she sets out to destroy the tying of the knot.

Emmerdale reaches its landmark 10,000th episode and it’s certainly not one to be missed while Coronation Street sees Bernie Winter work out who her son is – and it’s someone very close to home.

And over in Ramsay Street, Leo Tanaka fears the worst about Abigail, with the Neighbours favourite set to make a chilling discovery.

EastEnders

1. Whitney and Zack are a vision of happiness with baby Dolly but, in typical Walford fashion, it’s not long before all hell breaks loose. Britney knows about Zack’s one night stand with Lauren and contemplates whether or not to tell her as the day of the wedding arrives. Zack urges her to keep shtum, overcome with guilt. Whitney walks down the aisle with baby Dolly, with Britney joining them at the alter as the couple say their vows. Unable to keep quiet, however, Britney drops a major bombshell.

2. Anna reaches out to Junior who arrives in Walford to spend time with his sisters. George feels pushed out when he sees his children bonding in The Vic, but the moment is interrupted when Monique and Xavier arrive – and the Knights discover that Junior has a secret family. 

3. Freddie and big Mo return to the Square, but Freddie’s happiness is short-lived as he realises that there’s no room for him at Alfie’s, meaning he’ll have to live at No. 31.

4. The chemistry between Kat and Alfie is alive and well, with the Slaters making comments about how close they are. After one too many comments, Kat takes it upon herself to move out so that Freddie can move back in.

5. Elaine orders Linda, Gina and Anna to butt out after she overhears them discussing her current situation with George.

6. Bianca heads to the cafe in the wake of the wedding disaster, but she soon finds herself embroiled in a row with Vinny.

Emmerdale

7. Tom agrees to seek help for his violence but, during the appointment, he manipulatively throws Belle under the bus, claiming she has anger issues and is asserting coercive control over him. The abuser lies to Belle, stating the appointment went well, but things spiral out of control when he destroys the anniversary of Lisa’s death, with Belle publicly lashing out at him as the villagers watch on in shock.

8. Ruby fears the worst when she learns that Nicky can’t be brought out of his coma just yet. Ethan, meanwhile, is public enemy number one, receiving glaring looks from Caleb, Cain and Ruby as they plot retribution. As the fete gets underway, Charles is concerned as Ethan has failed to show up. On the outskirts of the village, Ethan lies bloodied and battered – having been deliberately knocked down. He stumbles into the village, before collapsing in Main Street. The three most likely suspects watch from afar.

9. Cain and Moira worry about how attached Isaac has become to Minty the lamb. Things are complicated further when Minty goes missing, with Isaac accusing Moira of foul play.

10. Charity and Mack are craving intimacy but they struggle to open up about such a thing. After doing so, however, their newfound closeness is hampered by their busy lives. One thing leads to another in a barn, with the two having sex – but they’re caught by the newspaper photographer and a bunch of villagers who are searching for Minty!

11. Ella beds down in her car, having nowhere to stay. Manpreet finds her asleep the following morning and lets slip to Liam, who suggests that Ella temporarily move into the spare room. Mandy asks after Ella’s family, taking a look at one of her mate’s photograph, but Ella snaps at her, leaving the beautician with some advice to Liam, suggesting he check Ella doesn’t have any skeletons in her closet. Later, we see Ella visit a care home.

12. Dawn blames her past mistakes for Evan’s condition while overwhelmed Billy worries that, although he’s doing his best, it’s just not enough for his wife.

Coronation Street

13. Abi is appalled over a TV documentary singing the praises of Corey Brent and his football prowess. Without wasting a second, she and Nina make a beeline for the offices of the company that produced the documentary, demanding answers. But there’s more trauma to come for Abi, as a deepfake sex video of her is uploaded online – with several more soon surfacing!

14. Bernie confides in Dev that the day in question would’ve been son Zodiac’s birthday. The much-loved character prepares to head to the hospital to be there for Paul but her car is towed away, with policeman Kit to blame. Bernie rails at him, determined to make a complaint but to her shock, Kit’s colleagues emerge with a birthday cake for him, wishing him a happy 31st.

15. Nick explains to Rowan how there was an incident involving Simon and he needs to speak to Leanne urgently but Rowan’s dismissive which angers Nick. Rowan suggests to Simon that they chat as he knows what it’s like to drift through life without direction.

16. Roy is becoming withdrawn in prison, leaving Nina incredibly concerned. Evelyn suggests that they start a book club, leaving Roy with something to look forward to – but there’s trouble ahead for the cafe owner, wi

Hollyoaks

17. After being kidnapped by Carter, John Paul pleads for his life at the lake. Carter, however, is too far gone and reveals that he intends to baptise his former lover, dragging him into the water.

18. Kitty’s whereabouts is the subject of much concern, with Beau confiding his fears in Sally. Unable to reach her, Diane decides to call the police. At the lake, Kitty is locked in a room, with dastardly Declan misgendering her, refusing to let her out. Having made a breakthrough in his search, Beau sets off to find Kitty – but he’s soon confronted by Declan, who knocks him unconscious.

19. Lucas and Dillon take a big step as they feel more comfortable with each other after their first kiss, deciding what comes next in a heartfelt discussion. Dillon promises to keep their relationship a secret until Lucas, who has only just come out, is more comfortable with it. Freya, however, feels rejected by the two.

20. Leela and Joel plan their secret wedding. Liberty, however, accidentally lets slip to Marie, who is seething, with a showdown ensuing between her and the bride-to-be. The morning of the wedding proves upsetting, with Leela unsure if the ceremony is even going ahead. Despite everything, the wedding gets underway at The Dog – but not everything goes according to plan!

21. Hannah Ashworth’s next client proves to be Dave, who pours his heart out to her – but leaves his wallet behind. Her next visitor, however, is even more intriguing – it’s only Robbie Roscoe!

Neighbours

22. Leo is horrified to discover that Abi has taken pills from a bag she found on the ground. The concerned dad rushes his daughter to hospital, where Remi explains that without knowing what the pills were Abi’s stomach will have to be pumped. Krista pipes up, revealing that the drugs were opioids from Shannon. Abigail is back to full health after Remi administers a reversing agent – but Leo is out for blood!

23. Karl is expecting a big farewell for his last day at Erinsborough Hospital, but he’s left disappointed by the lack of interest or concern from his colleagues. His hopes rise when Remi asks him to join a confab in a treatment room, only for an elated Remi to announce her successful promotion. Karl is utterly deflated, unaware his colleagues and Susan are setting up a surprise party at The Waterhole!

24. Toadie misreads the situation and attempts to kiss Terese. He is full of remorse but Terese reckons they should discuss the incident further.

25. Mackenzie is stunned to learn that Haz’s sister, Amira, has arrived – and is denying her access to her ex’s hospital room!
