System Requirements

Keep in mind the minimum system requirements listed below. The minimum specs are aimed at running the game with the Very Low preset in a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with an average frame rate of 30 FPS. The recommended specs are aimed at Medium settings with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and an average frame rate of 60 FPS.

Minimum
  • Processor: Intel Core i3-7100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200
  • Memory: 8 GB
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 4GB or AMD Radeon RX 5500XT 4GB
  • Storage: 75 GB storage space (SSD recommended)
  • OS: Windows 10 (1909 or higher)
Recommended
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-8600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • Memory: 16 GB
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT
  • Storage: 75 GB SSD space
  • OS: Windows 10 (1909 or higher)
AVX and F16C support is required for this game. Most CPUs up from 2012 are supported.

Update your drivers and game
For optimal performance, make sure you are using the latest drivers for your GPU and ensure your game is up to date. Restart Steam and check the Downloads section to make sure you have the latest version.


Windows version requirements
This game uses the DirectX Agility SDK, which requires Window 10 version 1909 (Build 18363) or newer.

Supported Windows Versions

Some specific revisions of Windows 10 1909, 2004 or 20H2, lack support for the DirectX Agility SDK. If you use Windows 1909, the revision number should exceed or be equal to .1350. Is a PlayStation Network account required for Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut on PC?
You can play the single player experience in full and receive Steam or Epic Games Store achievements, without signing into a PlayStation Network account.

Signing into a PlayStation Network account is required for Legends multiplayer mode and for use of PlayStation overlay, including PlayStation Trophy support.

You can also link your Steam account with your account for PlayStation Network to gain early unlocks. This is optional.

How do I create and/or sign into a PlayStation Network account?
From the main menu, choose Sign in to PlayStation. The game will show a pop-up asking you to sign in to your PlayStation Network account. If you do not have an account, you can sign up by pressing the "Create an Account" button. Alternatively, you can create an account here[www.playstation.com].

Creating a PlayStation Network account is free. You do not need a subscription to play Legends mode on PC.

How do I link my Steam and PlayStation Network accounts?
You can link your Steam and PlayStation Network accounts to receive the following early unlocks in Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut on PC:
  • Archery Master’s Attire
  • Charm of Canine Recruitment
To link your accounts, start the game and select "Connect to PlayStation Network" from the main menu.

Will my progress on console in singleplayer or Legends multiplayer mode carry over to PC?
It is not possible to transfer your save data from the PS4 or PS5 version to the PC version of Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut, or vice versa.

Supported Controllers
Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut on PC has built-in support for a range of controllers, listed below. When using a supported controller, the game displays in-game icons for each type and fully supports rumble features. We recommend using one of these controllers for the best experience.

  • XInput compatible controllers

Steam Input
Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut on PC also supports Steam Input, that allows you to use any controller and enables controller reconfiguration. You can configure your controller in the General Controller Settings, found in the Controller section of the Steam Settings menu.

Troubleshooting
If you are experiencing issues with your controller:

  • Try disabling Steam Input: right click the game in Steam, select Properties, choose Controller and select Disable Steam Input.
  • Try disconnecting any other controllers that might be connected to your system.
  • Try a different connection method for your controller, such as a different USB port, or try a wired connection instead of wireless.

The game is not saving
Problems with saving games can occur when write access to the Windows Documents folder is blocked. For example, if Controlled Folder Access in Windows is enabled, or if other software is blocking write access to the documents folder.

Try disabling this feature or remove the restriction from the Documents folder.

How to enable the launcher again

You can force the game to show the launcher by using a launch command option:

Right click the game on Steam, go to properties and add -launcher in the Launch Options field.

How to enable NVIDIA Reflex markers

On non-NVIDIA GPU based systems, NVIDIA PCL markers are disabled by default, and Reflex options are unavailable. Latency benchmarking is possible on non-NVIDIA GPU based systems by using the launch command option below. After doing so, you can enable PCL markers by selecting 'Latency Measurements Only' under the Reflex menu. Note that the NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency feature is available only on NVIDIA GPU based systems.

Right click the game on Steam, go to properties and add -unlockReflexOptions in the Launch Options field.

Crashes on Intel 13th and 14th generation CPUs

If you are experiencing game crashes on 13th and 14th generation Intel CPUs, this may be related to hardware configuration settings.

Intel recommends using 'Intel Default Settings', while various motherboards may apply different settings by default.
