Our thanks to Richard Brooks from the engineering company Waterman Group, who came in to College on Thursday 2 May to give a talk to students on the College’s Engineering and other STEM-based courses.  

Waterman Group is a multidisciplinary consultancy providing sustainable solutions to meet the planning, engineering design and project delivery needs of the property, infrastructure, environment, and energy markets.

Richard discussed different disciplines within Engineering with a focus on Civil Structures and the stages of engineering projects from conception to completion.

The talk was of particular interest to all those studying STEM subjects, particularly those thinking of a career in Engineering, particularly Civil Engineering, Infrastructure, and the Built Environment.
