I love all appearences, but i dont know, there is something about these two, some type of aura that only Kevin Peter Hall and Stan Winston could pull it off...

Yes, yes, and YES. You have bottled up how I feel. It just isn't the same anymore. Especially the majestic movement of Kevin Peter Hall. No preditor has captured the essence of the first 2 movies.
The designs are immaculate, you can see how perfect their colors work in the places they were on, the first one has more of a futuristic design while the second one has a copper color that is even more alien like, with a nice tribal touch to it and a more athletic build. I understand the first one is the classic, but i really feel that Winston outdid himself with the second one, works so well in that 90s Noir La.
But honestly i love them both, i love to see the differences that make them both especial in their own ways, Stan was a creative genius.
From what studio adi said they made the predator suits for avp and avp r and predators its was fox’s decision. In predator 1 and 2 fox allowed Stan free reign
I believe it was KNB that did the effects for Predators.
Thats right studio adi did the two avps and prey but the two guys who ran studio adi did work on the first 2 predators and aliens with Stan Winston
Didn't he also design some of the other helmets?
I think he only designed this ones, and all the others from the predator 2 ending and such
I feel like wolf was close with the hand movements, but yeah, these two just haven't been topped.
Ngl, Ian Whyte rivals Kevin imo. He perfectly captured the “ hunting” movement for Wolf

😌 Oh yeah, classic. I have seen the footage with a few different songs playing in the background. I always wondered what the original song was that played during the shoot. LoL
Kevin Peter Hall way so good at body language and it really showed through in the first 2 predator movies. Also it helps immensely that the faces of both Jungle hunter and City Hunter were made so well. None of the other movies compare since the faces were made with the mandibles already open instead of closed so it always looks like their jaws are broken lol. Can't get that X shape anymore when their jaws are closed.
That said whomever portrayed Wolf in AVPR did a really good job with his body language too. Just wish the costume and moviewas better but he was easily the 2nd best. 3rd was Feral.
I have almost never been disappointed by a Predator performance, but Kevin Peter Hall was the pioneer.

Wolf should be up there, they did an amazing job on his design… and might I say is equal to the OG designs And they did a pretty decent job on Fugitive too
Fugitive looks too clean and too futuristic, that makes it alot less interesting, there is no weird details and no bones nor trophies, and the movie does not help him also
Well they are an advanced race of aliens. I’m sure not all of them have a tribal look to them. Look at Borg for example
Super cool to see someone else notice the intricacies of the alien anatomy in the original which has been changed over time. I also loved prey because it really hit home that these guys are still strange alien monsters which totally deserves to be explored.
I really think that the fan focus on the “yautja” stuff from the (honestly horrible) AVP books takes away from the horror and mystery of these characters.
I look forward to seeing how weird these guys can truly get in the right hands!!
On every new Predator movie i always get super hyped to see what it will look like, their design is always one of the best parts for me.
I agree. Some of the later ones were either over top with the extended wrist blades, or bulky, or looked like plastic. These two were definitely impressive, still the best!
Stan was unmatched at what he did.
Once in a generation type of talent, master of his craft, it will take a long time untill someone else take the crown

Easily the best designs and they will never be topped.
There are some Predator designs that are just so awful it completely puts me off the movies. As much as I LOVED Prey I really really hated that Feral design but mostly the face/head. Looks really goofy and dumb, eyes in the sides of his head practically, giant open mouth when he's supposed to be from the desert.
First and Wolf are peak.
So good. I csn live with only his designs from the movies and I'd be happy.
These where the best designs in my opinion by far, something so unique and special about them
