Award-winning pop icon and singer songwriter Pixie Lott will perform a headline set at the 2024 Women’s Football Awards.
The All About Tonight hitmaker will take centre stage at the glitzy ceremony in London later this month as famous faces from world football come together for a high-profile celebration of the sport.
The Women’s Football Awards, sponsored by SHEIN and supported by Metro, will be held on 30 May with stars including Mary Earps, Sam Kerr and Lauren James shortlisted for awards.
Jamie Carragher and Eni Aluko return to host the flagship event, which sees some of the biggest names in women’s football recognised for outstanding achievements after a monumental year for women’s football.
Global online fashion, beauty and lifestyle retailer SHEIN has been announced as the 2024 headline partner, after supporting the inaugural ceremony in 2023.
Pixie Lott says: ‘I can’t wait to perform at the 2024 Women’s Football Awards and help celebrate the amazing success of the Lionesses and women’s footballers from across Europe. It is going to be a truly special evening and I feel privileged to be involved.’
The 2024 awards will be hosted by former Lioness Eni Aluko and Sky Sports presenter Jamie Carragher. Eni Aluko, adds: ‘Pixie is fantastic and is set for a great performance at this year’s Women’s Football Awards. This event just keeps getting bigger and better. It is going to be another wonderful night.’
Nominees this year include the broadcaster Alex Scott, I’m A Celebrity star and former Lioness Jill Scott and England women’s team manager Sarina Wiegman.
Football clubs including Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool FC Women are also in the running for top awards.
Baroness Karren Brady, who is vice-chair of West Ham United, is also nominated in the Football Business Trailblazer category.
Metro will be media partner for the awards for the second year, with former Lioness Eni Aluko and football legend and Sky Sports presenter Jamie Carragher as hosts for the ceremony.
At the inaugural awards, former England captain Carol Thomas was awarded a special recognition award from the Daily Mail and Metro, while broadcaster Karen Carney MBE won the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Award categories this year also include Player of the Year, International Football Player of the Year, Club of the Year, Grassroots Initiative of the Year, Lifetime Achievement as well as a series of accolades for people and brands working behind the scenes to expand the reach of women’s football.
A Women’s Football Awards spokesperson added: ‘The Women’s Football Awards is the biggest celebration of women’s football in Europe and the team is working flat out behind the scenes to create a truly special and memorable event. Pixie is a marvellous performer and will really get the celebrations started.’
The 2024 Women’s Football Awards is being backed by some of the biggest organisations in the world including SHEIN, VISA, Snapdragon and the Premier League who are coming together to really shine a light on the growth and success of the women’s game.
