Oh great, more indie edgelord trash that I won’t be paying to watch.

Ah whiners can whine and hypocritically go watch South Park or something.

Give me more of these, I'm sold.

Ha ha, regardless of quality I’m finally glad Disney has lost the copyright war.

Held on as long as they could.

If not for corporations and lawyers and lobbyists there would be a lot more songs, books and films in public domain.

Bob Iger didn’t create Mickey Mouse how long should he and Disney get paid for Walt’s creation, including the heirs.

It’s like when Prince died without a will a bunch of people come out of the woodwork to make money off of something that they had absolutely no input in creating.

No tears for Disney, you were only able to subvert copyright law for so long, looks like time ran out.

Also Walt made a lot great films based on public domain. Public domain has been very good for the Disney corporation.

Walt Disney and his brother Roy deserved every thing they earned. Walt, huge risk taker, nothing but respect for Walt and his creative acumen and for Roy taking care of the financial end of the company.

I'm not paying attention to these edgy Mickey Mouse attempts until they do a full Saw style thriller centered on The Phantom Blot, which frankly wouldn't be that different from how the actual story went.

This must be the edgy edgelord thread as 3 members have already used these words in their posts. 4 if you want to count this one.

They’re making the case for endless copyright laws because this is all public domain will ever be: shock value tripe from edgelord hacks.

You’re deluding yourself if you think anyone will even attempt anything remotely creative with it. The fact that it’s been nothing but shock horror for edgelord directors to get their foot in the door says it all.

You know what else they’re validating by doing this? Online bootlegger streaming sites. Like Blood and Honey, I won’t be paying to watch this or any of the other trash by these hacks if I even watch them at all.

I don't understand why people get so bothered about these kinds of movies.

I actually really enjoyed Winnie the Pooh Blood and Honey, it was a fun slasher. I'll check out the sequel too.

Some of the reactions here read as if the film makers have personally insulted some of the posters. Very odd.

What a load of sanctimonious horseshit. They aren't making that case, you are every single time you keep whining about a horror film based on there when there's other projects like this in the works which uses Pooh in a normal manner: https://variety.com/2022/film/global...el-1235460899/

Please, shut up with your idiotic crusade against "big bad Public Domain". The corporate bootlicking is embarrassing here.

Bob Dylan’s Blowing in the Wind based on a public domain song No More Auction Block.

Walt Disney + Grimm’s Fairy Tales = a sh!t ton of Disney movies.

Yeah, somehow it feels like that some horror fans are okay with watching movies about an evil character like Chucky destroying a small boy's childhood, but as soon as someone dares to touch their own real childhood heroes it's a big no go for them XD
