Watch: Aaradhya Bachchan guides injured Aishwarya Rai down the stairs at Cannes 2024

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was joined by her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan as she reached the French Riviera to attend the 77th Cannes Film Festival. Since Aishwarya's right arm was injured and had a cast on it, Aaradhya made sure that her mother was comfortable as she stepped out of her hotel. Aishwarya walked the red carpet of the prestigious event on Thursday, May 16.

Several videos of Aaradhya assisting her mother Aishwarya Rai at Cannes have surfaced online. In one of the videos, she is seen holding the actor's hand and walking beside her carefully. Another video has her guiding her mother down the staircase of the hotel while Aishwarya's entourage helps her with the train of her gown.

Social media users applauded the 12-year-old Aaradhya for being by her mother's side. One of them wrote on X, "My queen fulfilling mommy duties even at work not to mention Aaradhya’s equal support to her mother. The upbringing really beams through and through (sic)."

For the gala event, Aishwarya was dressed in a black and white gown with a long train. The ensemble was designed by Falguni Shane Peacock. She attended the premiere of Francis Ford Coppola’s film 'Megalopolis'. Aaradhya also looked pretty as she twinned with her mother in black.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been a regular at the Cannes Film Festival since 2002.

Last year on Aishwarya's birthday, Aaradhya spoke about her mother in public for the first time. At an event, she said, "My darling, my life... you're living in my life. My mama, well, what I think she's doing is truly important and truly wonderful. We’re celebrating with a meaningful purpose. Like, it's truly enriching and fulfilling. It's helping the world, helping everyone around us. Helping people. And I just want to say what you are doing is truly incredible. That's exciting."

Aaradhya was born to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan on November 16, 2011.
