Aishwarya Rai and Aaradhya Bachchan jetted off to France from Mumbai on Wednesday night. The two of them were spotted at Mumbai international airport and fans were concerned as Aishwarya had a cast on her right arm. Despite the injury, Aishwarya kept her spirits high and was seen asking her daughter to say ‘bye’ to the paps who clicked them at the airport.

Aishwarya was wearing black trousers and a long blue overcoat, while Aaradhya chose a pair of black joggers, paired with a white sweatshirt.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a regular at the Cannes Film Festival. Aishwarya made her Cannes debut in 2002, when she walked the red carpet for the premiere of her film Devdas along with Shah Rukh Khan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Aaradhya Bachchan has been accompanying her mother Aishwarya to Cannes ever since she was five months old. Her first Cannes appearance with Aishwarya was in 2012.

This year, Aishwarya, who walks the red carpet at the Cannes film festival for international cosmetic brand L’Oréal, will be joined by fellow brand ambassadors Kiara Advani, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Aditi Rao Hydari. As one of the most recognisable faces of the brand, Aishwarya has been instrumental in promoting its message of confidence and self-empowerment, which aligns with the theme for this year’s festival, Many Ways To Be An Icon.
