Man shows up at sister’s house after injury in possibly gang-related Fort Worth shooting

A man showed up at his sister’s house in south Fort Worth after he was shot in the leg Monday morning, according to police.

A man arrived on Monday morning at his sister’s house in south Fort Worth after he was shot in the lower leg, according to police.

The man, via the doorbell camera at the house in the 4000 block of Gimper Road, told his sister that he had been shot at another location, police said.

Police about noon received a call from the victim’s sister in which she reported the shooting.

Detectives with the Fort Worth Police Department’s gang unit are investigating.

The man suffered a minor injury and was taken to a hospital, according to a spokesperson for MedStar, the city’s emergency medical service authority.

Police did not immediately announce an arrest.
