Greetings Dharma Friends
I have rented a beautiful house near Joshua National Park for the first 3 weeks of March 2025.
I'm looking for a handful of experienced practitioners to share this beautiful retreat space.
I've broken the time into two 11 day segments.
Joshua Tree is a magical area - it is sublimely beautiful and very conducive to practice.
March is a great time to be there - cool evening and warm but not overly hot days.

This is an independent retreat - meaning there will not be a teacher present. I will offer carefully chosen
recorded Dharma talks some evenings, and we'll have an optional group checkin every few days as well. There will
be optional silent group hikes on most days in and around the National Park.

Each person will have their own lovely bedroom and we will share cooking/cleaning responsibilities. If anyone comes
from a distance, the Palm Springs Airport is relatively close and I could provide airport pickup/drop-off.

I've done many solitary retreats in Joshua Tree and know the area well.
The house I've rented is lovely, spacious, has a good amount of land and is a short drive to great hiking.
The retreat will be mostly in noble silence and, while there will be some group activities such as a short morning chant, meals, etc...,
participants are free to create their own practice schedule as long as they are mindfully practicing continuously throughout the day.
The food will be healthy, vegetarian food and I'll chat with each person to make sure dietary needs are met.

We will share costs for the space rental and food - it ends up being quite a bit cheaper than the large retreat centers and we each have a
private bedroom and a lovely spacious house to share.

That sounds very close to Mahapajapati bhikkhuni monastery (Theravada). You might be able to get one of the nuns to do some Dhamma talks there if you get some interest.
