Local man killed in I-90 crash near Avon

AVON, Ohio (WJW) – A single-car crash on I-90 Westbound in Avon blocked multiple lanes of traffic for several hours Friday.

The Avon Police Department reported the crash shortly before 7 a.m. on Friday. The accident happened near Nagel Road, and shut down two of three lanes on the interstate.

Officials tell FOX 8’s Patty Harken the crash was fatal. FOX 8 crews on the scene report a car crashed into a light pole.

Father, daughter killed in Ohio house explosion

The driver was identified as Krzsztof Grabowski, 38, of Gates Mills.

The crash remains under investigation.

The road reopened just after 10:30 a.m.
