Former Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard was in attendance at the Hydro last night for the 20th anniversary of the club’s Player of the Year awards.
The venue was sold out and decked in green and white for an unforgettable evening for supporters.
Countless legends were in attendance such as Stan Petrov, Chris Sutton, John Hartson, Henrik Larsson, and Odsonne Edouard.
The French striker – who is now plying his trade at Crystal Palace – was presenting an award alongside Georgios Samaras.
The pair received a great reception, with Edouard admitting on stage that his favourite goal in green and white came at Ibrox in an iconic 3-2 Hoops victory in 2018.
Such a choice is difficult to argue with, and when speaking to official club media after his appearance at the awards night, the 26-year-old admitted he is ‘always happy’ to return to Celtic.
He said: “I’m always happy to come back here to see all the players (and) all the fans.”
Somewhat outspoken (at least in the media), Edouard also revealed that he still keeps an eye on every game of his old team and that he was delighted with the result on Saturday.
He said: “I follow every game like a fan, and I’m happy about the win yesterday, and I hope we finish well and win the title.”
