Choosing between Technical University in Liberec (TUL) and Tomas Bata University in Zlin ( UTB )

STUDY

Hey, I currently have two options for persuing master's degree in Czech Republic. One is Mechatronics in TUL and the other is Automatic control and informatics in industry 4.0. So, I am in a huge dilemma on which University to choose.

  • I've heard the study structure is comparatively tough in Czech republic. How true is this ?

  • Which city among the two is more lively and which has more future opportunities ?

  • how much would be the rent and living expenses in these cities ?

  • I've heard many students dropout because of the tough curriculum. Is this true ?

  • Finally, Am I making a correct decision in coming to Czech for masters studies?

It would be a great help if you guys could answer any of my questions and add more information regarding this. Really appreciate the help.

Well... on TUL you might have some opportunities theoretically. But do not expect too much from Liberec at all. Mechatronics here is quite popular I have heard and it has future.

Many people drop out in the first year in general - my own experience. Someone told me, that about 2/3 of students drop out during the studies and only 1/3 makes it - dunno if this is true or bullshit.
