Abby Baker, Ann Cobb Sign to Play College Athletics

Two Montgomery Catholic seniors have signed on to play college athletics. Abby Baker will cheerlead at Huntingdon college, while Ann Cobb will run track at Mississippi College.

Baker will be staying close as she cheers on the Huntingdon Hawks football team next falls. She spent 16 years dancing but made the shift over to cheer as a sophomore. She bloomed during the transition. Baker became the team captain her senior year and said she learned a lot about leadership. She plans to study early education, with plans to teach kindergarten to second grade.

Meanwhile, Ann Cobb posted a star-studded career at Montgomery Catholic, succeeding since she was in 7th grade. Cobb smashed the school records in the 100, 200, and 400-meter races. Now, she’s headed to run track at Mississippi College, inspired by her brother, Auburn running back, Jeremiah Cobb. Ann says plans to study psychology and go in to forensic psychology.
