Washington County fills justice of the peace seat

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — After more than a year of vacancy, Washington County has a new justice of the peace for District 4.

Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders appointed Ed Bowerman to the position.

Deadline approaching for Benton & Washington County property assessment

District 4 is in Springdale from Highway 412 up to Wagon Wheel Road and from just west of Highway 71 over to Butterfield Coach Road and Mountain Road.

Fred Anderson was re-elected to that position in November of 2022. He died in March 2023.

Bowerman will serve in this role until the position is up for re-election in November.
