Farmer Wants A Wife fan-favourite Bert Harris is reportedly set to quit the show.

Bert is said to be 'the next farmer to leave', following in the footsteps of Farmer Dean who was successfully paired up with Teegan.

Insiders claim Bert felt increasingly manipulated by production tactics, particularly from two male producers who were fresh off the set of FBoy Island and were pushing for heightened drama.

'Farmer Bert was really sweet and it was sad to see him being treated like a prop,' a source told Yahoo Lifestyle.

Bert is now said to be secretly seeing Lauren McNeil, a contestant who chose to exit the competition due to intensifying pressures.

Meanwhile, insiders have claimed Bert will be 'the next farmer to leave', following in the footsteps of Farmer Dean who was successfully paired up with Teegan

According to the report, Seven will explain that Bert's forthcoming exit is due to his 'inability to give the show his full attention'.

'Channel Seven viewers are set to riot as they will see through his decision to leave the show,' a TV insider predicted.

The departure narrative scripted for Bert is directly at odds with his clash with producers over the show's authenticity.

Lauren, who left the show two weeks prior, was reportedly a significant factor in Bert's decision to leave, with sources suggesting he was coerced into letting her go - a decision he regretted.

The couple are expected to reveal their relationship publicly after the show's season concludes in late May.
