'IF' - Opening Weekend Box Office Numbers Revealed

The numbers are in!

IF, directed by John Krasinski, has brought in $35 million in its opening weekend at the box office, Variety reports.

That number comes slightly below expectations, as it was expected to bring in $40 million in its first weekend of release. The movie cost $110 million to make and many millions more to market.

The film has an “A” CinemaScore and an 87% Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes, meaning it may have staying power at the box office for weeks to come due to positive reviews.

The movie follows Brooklyn-dwelling neighbors Cal and Bea (Ryan Reynolds and Cailey Fleming) with the ability to see other people’s imaginary friends (IF, for short).
