Pakistani drama serials v/s indian drama serials

Discuss

Have any body watched Pakistani drama serials ????

How does they compared with indian one on story . between I am not an eager viewer of either nationality drama serials but recently watched 'zindagi gulzar hai'

First thing i liked that they at least have time line in which there series ends not like india where if shows becomes hit then they keep dragging it by unnecessarily adding twits/turns .

I thing Indian serials/drams of past specially those before era of balaji tele films 'K****' serials was very good on story level.

I cannot identify any one present serials with specially big families. I think avg indian family has been reduced to 4 (previous generation).Abhi ka generation to max 3 has boss

I don't like either of them. Pakistani dramas are mostly depressing and regressive (except for few). Only good thing about them is they end in few episodes. And now a days Indian drama audience who watch them on television are only our mother or grandma's generation. I believe most of us are watching OTT where I find some good Indian content so if we really compare our modern dramas/series with them like Panchayat, Kota factory, family man etc then we are way better content wise.

A little off-topic than what you originally asked but I like Zindagi Gulzar Hai too because the female lead is a no-nonsense girl. Yes, she chooses the toxic guy but she has dreams and aspirations that she sticks on to till the very end. A super hard-working girl who gets full scholarship in college, is super hard-working, excels academically and cracks a competitive government job. That's the example of a truly hard-working middle/ lower middle-class girl. She's discouraged by her own dad but she knows herself and what she needs to achieve in order to stand out. Now compare this with Ekta's female leads. They're always shown as middle-class girls with aspirations at the beginning, but ultimately need the male leads to succeed, and the only dream they have is to get married, and they get so entangled in family drama that they even forget they have jobs, which is truly very disgusting. Except a few ITV shows like KRPKAB, and Kitni Mohabbat Hai, I can't recall female leads being ambitious.

Bro i donot think that much deep .

My first crietria is too have and end date for serials not like keep dragging it till its trps fells.

Between i am interested in knowing which of them produces better one , near to real life rather then reel life

The only reason pak shows win is that they are limited so the story is set already execution doesn't get to be wrong depending on trp but content wise I honestly it very monotonous

really like how finite they are ! 22-26 episodes & they are easily accessible on youtube !!

I havent watched a lot of pak dramas but i loved yaqeen ka safar

If you compare pakistani limited series and indian limited series, indian shows win hands down! The only advantage pakistani series have over long soaps is that they are of finite length

They lack Masala IMO, but still more sensible then Indian shows

I like pakistani shows for how they are more relatable. Where itv shows rich families with a cave-men mentality which the FL needs to fix, Pakistan shows actually show middle class values and struggles. When the audience is able to connect to the struggles of the character, they can get more out of seeing how the characters overcome it. Another thing is, in itv, the FL solves every problem with one looong lecture and suddenly everything is fixed. I find in pakistani drama that the problem is solved more realistically. Plus the leading lady doesn't end up with the toxic guy, for example in ishqiya hania amir's character didn't end up with feroze's character despite being pregnant, if it was itv she would've stuck with him even after he used her 'for the baby'. Another good thing is that darker themes get their due. They are shown in their actual dark nature rather than the FL coming in to solve everything with one gyaan session. Because pakistani shows have a shorter run, character's can have arcs and good development without them flipping them later on for the sake of dragging the show longer. Pakistani drama also allows the limelight to shine on several characters in the show, not just the main two like itv.

Of course, paki serials have their problems. Cousin marriage, forced marriages, some promote dusri shaadi, but with that being said, their are so many genuinely good shows that encourage the right things AND DO WELL

I have only liked one pakistani drama till now that's ghisi piti mohabbat. So underrated but worth watching

Only Pakistani drama I like is suno chanda it was so good. If we leave cousin marriage stuff overall it’s fun to watch even my mom loved it.

In India I liked ye un dino ki baat hai and bepanaah and half way through silsila. They all were good cause they didn’t stretch it more and plot was good.

have watched suno chanda too both season 1 and 2

Lots of dramas are made in a year and among them, only few are good otherwise most of those follow the same pattern. Bad Boy falling for poor girl, another girl who is in love with the ML who tries to make ML against the FL. MIL who hates FL, forced marriage, an obsessive lover of FL. Only difference is they have limited episodes whereas Indian serial are very long so, most people think that Indian serials are the worst. Some pros are their limited episodes, realistic plotline, no unnecessary bg music or sounds. I think Indian shows covered more genre though. There are some really good Pakistani shows and there are some really good Indian tv shows as well so, I find them equal. Btw, one thing that I find common is I have watched both kind of Indian and Pakistani shows which has made my blood boil.🤣

You must watch “Mere pass tum ho”

Ekta became a tv tycoon , game changer etc. yes it's true but she is also single-handedly responsible for the garbage daily soap as well .

Her plots have been good most of the time but it eventually progresses down to some ott BS
