Lainey Wilson’s Top 10 collaborations and duets

Lainey Wilson is the most in demand artist in Country music right now. The CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year has had a phenomenal last couple of years, both up in stage and on screen in the TV show Yellowstone too. Everyone wants a little piece of her magic to rub off on themselves and so we thought we would take a look at her top 10 collaborations & duets.

More Than Friends with Lukas Nelson

This is a funky, southern bar room song with a really engaging video. ‘Forget tomorrow, we can face the music then,’ Lukas and Lainey sing, just about to cross the line in the best way possible!

Pieces with Muscadine Bloodline

Perhaps the earliest collaboration in the list? This song came out three years ago before Lainey had blown up. She adds her vocals to the backing and harmonies on this bluesy, tender song.

Thicc as Thieves with Lauren Alaina

This appeared with a bang last year as both southern girls pay tribute to each others’ asses! Lauren’s worked this song hard on the socials and there’s even versions without Lainey as we suspect she was too busy to really commit to the whole promotional shebang.

Refugee with Wynonna

This is brand new! Starring the inimtable Wynonna Judd, it’s a Tom Petty cover from the upcoming ‘Petty Country’ tribute album that features Lainey alongside her. It’s a rocking, dramatic song that does justice to Petty’s original.

What If I Could with Ernest

Another new song from Ernest’s recent ‘Nashville, Tennessee’ album. It’s a retro-sounding ballad about second chances that sounds like it was recorded in 1973.

Praying Woman with Anne Wilson

A bluesy, southern sounding gospel-leaning tribute to women everywhere from Wilson’s new album. Both singers applaud the power of prayer and women and what both can achieve.

Go Home W U with Keith Urban

Another new one. 2024 is really the year of the Lainey Wilson collaboration! An interesting ‘behind the scenes’ video featuring both singers is the feature here until the car journey melts away into a seroes of graphics and images. The song is poppy, uptempo number that sees Lainey helm the second verse.

Wait in the Truck with HARDY

A monster hit from 2023 which helped both singers increase their exposure and brand image on a powerful story song with a powerful video.

Never Say Never with Cole Swindell

The OG collaboration that started it all off. Another powerful song and video combo that saw Cole take a chance on the (then) relatively unknown Wilson on a duet that rocketed to the top of the charts and dominated awards season.

Save Me with Jelly Roll

Perhaps the most powerful of all of Lainey Wilson’s collaborations with other artists? The song is a monster: powerful, heartfelt and raw. Both singers do a terrific job on it.
