Eagles 2024 Primetime Games
The Eagles will be playing in primetime often as they have 5-night games this season. They play on Friday night on Peacock to start the year and then on Monday Night Football the following week vs the Falcons.
In week 9, they play on Sunday Night Football vs the Jaguars and then in week 11, they host the Commanders for Thursday Night Football. They follow that up with a week 12 Sunday Night Football matchup vs the Los Angeles Rams.
Eagles Open in Brazil vs Packers
The Eagles will battle the Packers in week 1 in Sao Paulo, Brazil as the NFL continues to push its brand all over the world. Thanks to the long flight, the Eagles will be in the top 10 in miles traveled in the NFL in 2024. The game is set for Friday, September 6. The NFL season opens the night before as the Chiefs take on the Ravens on Thursday Night Football to kick off the season.
Eagles Record Prediction
No one would have expected the late-season collapse we got last season from the Eagles after a 10-1 start and what looked like another Super Bowl appearance out of the NFC. What can we expect from the Eagles this season?
The schedule is not easy. While they should be able to handle division games vs the Commanders and Giants, the out-of-division games are loaded with playoff teams.
Eagles Record Prediction: 11-6, 1st in NFC East
The addition of Saquon Barkley and Paris Campbell gives Jalen Hurts even more to work with on offense while the draft helped boost the secondary with Quinyon Mitchell and DeJean Cooper. If the team can stay healthy, they should be near the top of the NFC East and have a slight edge over the Cowboys.
Hurts will need to return to his 2022 form when he finished second in MVP voting and limited his turnovers. He wasn’t great at protecting the ball in 2023 (15 interceptions, 9 fumbles). The Eagles should take care of the Giants and Commanders even though division games are always tough. We see a split with the Cowboys who always seem to play well in the regular season.
There are matchups vs Atlanta, Tampa Bay, New Orleans, Carolina, and Pittsburgh in which they will likely be favored. With that being said, the Eagles face some tough opponents in the Packers, Bengals, Rams, and Ravens. They also have a matchup with the Jaguars.
