The Sunday Times recently released its 2024 Rich List for the UK's wealthiest individuals under 40, which features seven-time F1 champion Lewis Hamilton. The British driver has secured the ninth spot with an estimated fortune of £350 million.
Hamilton, aged 39, has amassed a net worth of £350 million, primarily from his illustrious career in Formula 1 where he has clinched seven world championships, 103 race wins, and 104 pole positions.
Unlike many athletes whose earnings remain tethered to their sporting achievements, Hamilton has effectively diversified his revenue streams. His investments span various sectors including sports, food and beverage, and entertainment. Notably, Hamilton is a co-owner of the NFL team Denver Broncos. His entrepreneurial spirit also extends to the food industry where he backs Neat Burger, a growing chain of vegan fast-food restaurants advocating for sustainable dining options.
His venture into the beverages industry with Almave, a non-alcoholic tequila brand, is one of his latest business pursuits. Hamilton has also set foot in Hollywood, collaborating on an upcoming Formula 1 movie starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris, which is likely to be released in 2025.
Adding to his financial arsenal are lucrative sponsorships with major brands such as Bose, Tommy Hilfiger, and Puma.
Hamilton is due to make a move from Mercedes, who he has been with since 2013, to Ferrari from 2025. The British driver signed a multi-year deal with the Maranello-based squad where he will drive alongside Charles Leclerc.
