How to Defeat the Stalker
Stalker is the sixth boss you’ll fight in the main story of Stellar Blade. You’ll find it in Matrix 11, as part of the Alpha Signal quest. This is an agile beast that attacks with its claws and can throw projectiles. If you played the full demo, you'd already have encountered it, as it was part of the extra boss encounter.
In this boss guide, you’ll learn the Stalker’s movelist and the best strategies for defeating it.
How to Defeat the Stalker
This was the enemy that appeared at the end of the demo, as part of the “extra challenge”. The Stalker throws projectiles, which can be a barrage of them without being a yellow blow (you can block them), or one straight projectile that is a yellow attack.
Another yellow move is a stampede in a straight line, which you should try to dodge at the last moment to perform a Perfect Dodge. The final yellow attack during this first phase will be a jump and a headbutt forward. This can be a bit tricky to dodge correctly with O — you can just run away for better results.
When it comes to red moves, the Stalker has two at first. One is a five-blow combo from the sides. The first four are fast, but the last one has a small pause. The other red starts with its left hand and consists of three hits, a roll, a fourth hit, and a pink move.
As for other moves, the boss has a dash and one-two hit afterward. It can also strike with its left claw and then spin with its right. And of course, the beast has a blue that you need to watch out for.
Once it has 60% of its health remaining, the Stalker will enter a new phase. Before that, you’ll have a Quick Time Event moment where you need to smash Square to avoid a hit and deal damage.
Apart from enhanced regular moves, such as multiple strikes while rolling, Stalker will have some new red attacks. One is a six-blow that ends with a yellow jump. Another red consists of one spin attack, a one-two with its claws coming from above its head, and the repetition of a similar sequence.
The boss has one more QTE when it has 10% HP left (the same one as before), and then a finishing sequence in which you also need to press a button.
