The annual honors recognize Broadway and Off-Broadway debuts.

Winners of the 2024 Theatre World Awards were revealed May 14, honoring 12 actors for outstanding Broadway and Off-Broadway debut performances. Cast members from The WizStereophonicThe Who's Tommy, and more are among this year's honorees.

The full list includes The Who's Tommy's Ali Louis BourzguiOh, Mary!'s Cole EscolaThe Outsiders' Brody GrantAn Enemy of the People's Michael ImperioliThe Wiz's Phillip Johnson Richardson and Nichelle LewisPatriots' Will KeenMary Jane's Rachel McAdamsHell's Kitchen's Maleah Joi Moon; and Stereophonic's Tom Pecinka, Sarah Pidgeon, and Chris Stack.

Also receiving honors are A.J. Shively, who has won the Dorothy Loudon Award for his work in Irish Rep's Philadelphia, Here I Come; Len Cariou, winning the John Willis Award for Lifetime Achievement; and arts writer Peter Filichia, this year's Special Award honoree.

This year's winners will be celebrated at the 78th Annual Theatre World Awards ceremony June 10 at the Marquis Theatre. Filichia will host. The event is being produced by the Theatre World Awards, Inc. Board of Directors and Dale Badway, with Karen Johnston and Jeffrey Grove serving as executive producers. James Sheridan is associate producer, and Michael Lavine will music direct.

This year's honorees were selected by the Theatre World Awards Committee, comprising Linda Armstrong, David Cote, Joe Dziemianowicz, Peter Filichia, David Finkle, Elysa Gardner, Harry Haun, Cary Wong, and Frank Scheck. The Board of Directors is headed by President Badway alongside Vice Presidents Tom Lynch and Michael Kostel, secretary Stephen Wilde, treasurer Ilene Zatkin-Butler, James Sheridan, and Karen Johnston.
