Jaipur: With 12th position in Class 10 and 27th position in Class 12 CBSE results across all states,
Rajasthan failed to secure a place in the top 10 this year.
For Class 10, the pass percentage in Rajasthan was 96.84% and for Class 12 it was 88.7%. In Class 10, boys had a pass percentage of 96.2% and girls had pass percentage of 97.7% in Rajasthan, while in Class 12, pass percentage for boys was 86.2% and for girls it was 92.5%.In both the classes, girls performed better than boys.
Under the Ajmer region of CBSE which comprises of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Dadar and Nagar Haveli, Gujarat performed better than Rajasthan for both the classes.
For Class 10, Gujarat had a total pass percentage of 97.7% and in Class 12, the pass percentage in the state was 92%.
“It is usually the case that Gujarat performs better than Rajasthan in both the classes in CBSE. At times, many students are not able to appear for the exam due to various reasons like lack of preparation, not reaching the exam centre on time, medical conditions which also affects the state’s results,” said an official from CBSE Ajmer region.
In Rajasthan, 90,661 students appeared for the exam, including 54,076 boys and 36,585 girls in Class 12. For Class 10, 96,639 students appeared for the exam, including 56,501 boys and 40,138 girls.
Ajmer region stood fifth out of 17 regions of CBSE in Class 10 board result with pass percentage of 97.10% compared to 97.27% which was the pass percentage last year. In Class 12 results, Ajmer region stood 10th out of 17 regions with a pass percentage of 89.53% compared to 89.27% which was the pass percentage last year.
