@cheriere  I am praying all went well and your Mom is on her way to healing. She is so fortunate to have a loving and caring daughter.  Thinking of you🙏💞

You're prayers are definitely working.  Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

She most likely won't have to have surgery, but she did break her wrist and dislocate it from her forearm.  They cast and tried to relocate it.  We go back in a couple weeks for more X-rays.

I really appreciate your kind words.❤️

@cheriere, I hope your Mom can avoid surgery but if that will assure her a complete heal I know you'll take good care of her. 🌺❤️

Thank you so much.❤️❤️❤️

So far, it looks as though she may avoid surgery.  However, she broke her wrist and dislocated it from her forearm.  They cast it and then she underwent a very painful procedure of them trying to manually relocate the bones.  I really hope this works for her.  She's still hurting quite a bit.

I'm  praying your mother will be okay and no surgery will be required.

Please take care of yourself.

Thank you so much.❤️❤️❤️

Your prayers are working because as it currently stands, no surgery required.  They had to cast and relocate another bone.  She's in a lot of pain today.😔

Im just exhausted, but I can't afford to be tired right now.  Again, thank you.🙏

Prayers are working too because as it stands now, no surgery.  They can't her wrist and arm and had to try and relocate her forearm bone.  She's in a lot of pain today.

@cheriere  Oh sweet Cheriere, I'm so sorry about your Mom's bad fall and wrist injury Smiley Sad!  I just want to reach out and hold her little hand in that x-ray Heart.  She is in great hands with you and the nurses and doctors and I know and pray that her hand will heal and her body will get better fromt that bad fall.  Did she hurt her dominate hand?  I wish her well and I wish you well going through these upcoming appointments with her.  Make sure to relax with her today and watch your favorite shows together and make the best of a rough day.

Your vibrant spirit, great personality and beautiful smile will keep the both of you strong throughout this.  I'm rooting for you and your Mommy, Cheriere Heart.  When I was a kid, I broke 8 bones total in 1 year since I was a daredevil and did tons of reckless but fun sports stunts on the playground at school and I broke my wrist as a kid from that, so I know how it feels to have and injured wrist.  I bet your Mom is a very strong lady and I will keep her in my thoughts as she gets through this.  Please feel free to keep us posted and all the best to you and your Mommy Heart.

I can't say thank you enough.❤️❤️❤️

I truly appreciate and needed to hear your words of encouragement.  I don't know why I'm so tired and stressed considering what she's had to endure.

It was her right wrist and forearm unfortunately.  They said her wrist was broken and the forearm dislocated.  So, they cart it, then manually tried to relocate her forearm into place.  I had to pet on her throughout because the pain for her was almost unbearable!  They gave her a lidocaine shot to numb it prior, but that was crazy painful for her too.  She said it didn't numb that much either.

We're supposed to go back in two weeks for more X-rays to make sure the bone is healing properly, but she's already said she's not sure if she'll go back to him!  After the procedure, she asked if he was going to send something in for her pain and he literally laughed and started to walk away, saying Tylenol should work!  I stopped him and told him that she'd been suffering for the two weeks leading up to this appointment and there's NO WAY I'm gonna watch her hurt, getting zero sleep still!  He ended up sending in three days worth if a very mild pain medicine.  She was up all night!  I just don't understand or know what to do.  She's disheartened because she doesn't think the Dr cares about her.  I'm gonna have to figure out something.  She's so miserable.

Hopefully no surgery, thankfully. She is very lucky to have you in her corner. Glad you spoke up to the orthopedic doctor for pain medicine.  Some of these specialists don't seem to pay attention to what  elderly people say. Good thing you were there Woman Happy

Re: ORTHOPEDIC VISIT FOR MOM

@cheriere,

That sounds so painful!

And good for you for insisting on something for her for pain. But that is ridiculous-an ortho who is only thinking of himself and afraid to prescribe.

If your mom has a primary care she can appeal to and explain that she was only given 3 days did you say?

Absolutely not ok and not humane.

She can't be left like that.

And nurses especially always say that to heal you need to control the pain. Especially with a serious injury like this.

I had 2 narcotics for a month when I fractured my shoulder. It was one of the most painful things ever and my wrist too!

Nobody gets addicted when the pain takes up all the medication. There is nothing left to get high or addicted to.

This is inexcusable.

I hoping so much she will be able to have a doctor give her what she needs.

You are a wonderful daughter!

@cheriere   Sorry about your mom's and your pain.  I am happy to read no surgery.  Hope her recovery goes well.

Of course you are tired, stress causes body pain.  I hope you can get some rest.

You did good for your mom!
