Magic Round is here as the entire NRL gathers in Brisbane for eight Suncorp Stadium clashes. Everyone apart from the Dragons who have the weekend off. There will be some key clashes including the Sea Eagles facing the Broncos on Friday night and the Sharks taking on the Roosters on Saturday evening.

Officials

Ashley Klein Touchies: Matt Noyen, Chris Sutton Bunker: Adam Gee

Prediction: The Raiders had last week off after their barnstorming defeat of the Sea Eagles the week before. The Bulldogs put in a gutsy performance in losing to the Panthers. This is an interesting game to kick off the festivities, with the Raiders battling for consistency and the Bulldogs just lacking the polish to knock over the better teams. The question you have to ask yourself is if the Raiders are really one of the better teams?

Tip: Raiders by 8

PointsBet odds: Raiders $2.30 (+3.5 $1.90) Bulldogs $1.62 (-3.5 $1.90)

Manly Warringah Sea Eagles vs. Brisbane Broncos

Jordan Riki 13. Patrick Carrigan Bench: 14. Blake Mozer 15. Xavier Willison 16. Kobe Hetherington 17. Jack Gosiewski Reserves: 18. Joshua Rogers 19. Martin Taupau

Officials
Referee:
Todd Smith Touchies: Drew Oultram, Liam Kennedy Bunker: Grant Atkins

Prediction: The Sea Eagles have been disappointing lately, blowing a big lead against the Raiders, before succumbing to the Dolphins last week. The Broncos were way too good for the Eels last week, bouncing back from a big defeat at the hands of the Roosters the week before. This is a key game for the Sea Eagles who need to stop the slide and prove to themselves that they are capable of competing for the title. The Broncos, at home on this special occasion, in front of a near full house should be too good.

Tip: Broncos by 12

PointsBet odds: Sea Eagles $3.70 (+10.5 $1.90) Broncos $1.28 (-10.5 $1.90)

Saturday, May 18

Iszac Fa'asumaleaui 22. Jaylan De Groot

Knights: 1. David Armstrong 2. Enari Tuala 3. Dane Gagai 4. Bradman Best 5. Greg Marzhew 6. Jack Cogger 7. Jackson Hastings 8. Jacob Saifiti 9. Jayden Brailey 10. Leo Thompson 11. Tyson Frizell 12. Dylan Lucas 13. Adam Elliott Bench: 14. Phoenix Crossland 15. Kai Pearce-Paul 16. Brodie Jones 17. Jack Hetherington Reserves: 18. Mathew Croker 19. Jed Cartwright 20. Krystian Mapapalangi 21. Thomas Cant 22. Fletcher Sharpe

Officials
Referee:
Gerard Sutton Touchies: Ziggy Przeklasa-Adasmki, Phil Henderson Bunker: Wyatt Raymond

Prediction: The Titans continued their improvement with a tough victory over the Cowboys, while the Knights similarly continued on their way with a victory over the Tigers in Tamworth. This game is tough to pick, with both teams looking to continue to climb the ladder. I think the Knights have been travelling just a little bit better and should take the two points.

Tip: Knights by 10

PointsBet odds: Titans $2.20 (+3.5 $1.90) Knights $1.67 (-3.5 $1.90)

Cronulla Sutherland Sharks vs. Sydney Roosters

Suncorp Stadium, 5:30pm (AEST)

Sharks: 1. William Kennedy 2. Sione Katoa 3. Jesse Ramien 4. Kayal Iro 5. Ronaldo Mulitalo 6. Daniel Atkinson 7. Nicho Hynes 8. Thomas Hazelton 9. Blayke Brailey 10. Oregon Kaufusi 11. Angus Crichton 12. Nat Butcher 13. Victor Radley Bench: 14. Connor Watson 15. Egan Butcher 16. Spencer Leniu 17. Terrell May Reserves: 18. Zach Dockar-Clay 19. Naufahu Whyte 20. Sitili Tupouniua 21. Ethan King 22. Siua Wong

Officials
Referee:
Adam Gee Touchies: Kasey Badger, Jon Stone Bunker: Ashley Klein

Prediction: This should be the match of the round, with the Sharks maintaining their position at the top of the ladder with a victory over the Storm last week, while the Roosters continued their run of thumping teams with a convincing win over the Warriors. The Sharks have a way of getting things done, but their defence will be well and truly tested by the Roosters.

Tip: Roosters by 10

PointsBet odds: Sharks $2.50 (+5.5 $1.90) Roosters $1.53 (-5.5 $1.90)

South Sydney Rabbitohs vs. North Queensland Cowboys

Suncorp Stadium, 7:45pm (AEST)

Rabbitohs: 1. Latrell Mitchell 2. Alex Johnston 3. Jack Wighton 4. Izaac Tu'itupou Thompson 5. Jacob Gagai 6. Cody Walker 7. Dion Teaupa 8. Davvy Moale 9. Damien Cook 10. Sean Keppie 11. Keaon Koloamatangi 12. Jai Arrow 13. Siliva Havili Bench: 14. Peter Mamouzelos 15. Tallis Duncan 16. Thomas Burgess 17. Taane Milne Reserves: 18. Gehamat Shibasaki 19. Matthew French 20. Adam Christensen 21. Bayleigh Bentley-Hape 22. Liam Le Blanc

Cowboys: 1. Scott Drinkwater 2. Kyle Feldt 3. Valentine Holmes 4. Viliami Vailea 5. Murray Taulagi 6. Tom Dearden 7. Chad Townsend 8. Jordan McLean 9. Reece Robson 10. Griffin Neame 11. Heilum Luki 12. Jeremiah Nanai 13. Reuben Cotter Bench: 14. Sam McIntyre 15. Thomas Mikaele 16. Kulikefu Finefeuiaki 17. Jason Taumalolo Reserves: 18. Jake Granville 19. Jake Clifford 20. Harrison Edwards 21. Braidon Burns 22. Jaxon Purdue

Officials
Referee:
Peter Gough Touchies: Chris Sutton, David Munro Bunker: Liam Kennedy

Prediction: Here we have a real battle between two of the season's biggest disappointments. The Rabbitohs looked good in parts last week while losing to the Dragons, while the Cowboys could have easily beaten the Titans, if not for a raft of errors. Instead of trying to pick which team will win this, it might be easier picking the team most likely to lose.

Tip: Cowboys by 6

PointsBet odds: Rabbitohs $3.30 (+9.5 $1.90) Cowboys $1.33 (-9.5 $1.90)

Sunday, May 19

New Zealand Warriors vs. Penrith Panthers

Suncorp Stadium, 1:50pm (AEST)

Warriors: 1. Taine Tuaupiki 2. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak 3. Ali Leiataua 4. Adam Pompey 5. Marcelo Montoya 6. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad 7. Te Maire Martin 8. Addin Fonua-Blake 9. Wayde Egan 10. Bunty Afoa 11. Jackson Ford 12. Mitchell Barnett 14. Dylan Walker Bench: 15. Tom Ale 16. Jazz Tevaga 17. Jacob Laban 21. Paul Roache Reserves: 18. Zyon Maiu'u

Panthers: 1. Dylan Edwards 2. Sunia Turuva 3. Izack Tago 18. Paul Alamoti 5. Brian To'o 6. Jack Cole 7. Jarome Luai 10. James Fisher-Harris 9. Mitch Kenny 15. Lindsay Smith 11. Luke Garner 12. Liam Martin 13. Isaah Yeo Bench: 8. Moses Leota 16. Matt Eisenhuth 20. Tyrone Peachey 22. Scott Sorensen Reserves: 17. Mavrik Geyer

Officials
Referee:
Grant Atkins Touchies: David Munro, Ziggy Przeklasa-Adamski Bunker: Matt Noyen

Prediction: The Warriors were smacked by the Roosters last week before the Chooks took their foot off the accelerator in the second half. The Panthers had a tougher than expected encounter with the Bulldogs, with the loss of Nathan Cleary just before halftime knocking the wind out of their sails. If the Warriors were ever going to upset the Premiers this would be the weekend to do it. I just can't see them getting their act together enough to pull it off.

Tip: Panthers by 12

PointsBet odds: Warriors $3.80 (+11.5 $1.95) Panthers $1.27 (-11.5 $1.85)

Melbourne Storm vs. Parramatta Eels

Cbus Super Stadium, 2pm (AEST)

Storm: 1. Sualauvi Faalogo 2. William Warbrick 3. Reimis Smith 4. Nick Meaney 5. Xavier Coates 6. Cameron Munster 7. Tyran Wishart 8. Christian Welch 9. Harry Grant 10. Josh King 11. Shawn Blore 12. Eliesa Katoa 13. Trent Loiero Bench: 14. Jack Howarth 15. Tui Kamikamica 16. Nelson Asofa-Solomona 17. Alec MacDonald Reserves: 18. Grant Anderson 20. Bronson Garlick

Eels: 1. Blaize Talagi 2. Maika Sivo 3. Viliami Penisini 4. Sean Russell 5. Bailey Simonsson 6. Daejarn Asi 7. Dylan Brown 8. Reagan Campbell-Gillard 9. Joey Lussick 10. Junior Paulo 11. Shaun Lane 12. Ryan Matterson 13. J'maine Hopgood Bench: 14. Bryce Cartwright 15. Makahesi Makatoa 16. Joe Ofahengaue 17. Kelma Tuilagi Reserves: 18. Brendan Hands 22. Luca Moretti

Officials
Referee:
Wyatt Raymond Touchies: Belinda Sharpe, Phil Henderson Bunker: Gerard Sutton

Prediction: Both of these teams played last week without their starting halfback and fullback and both lost -- the Storm to the Sharks and the Eels to the Broncos. Even down on key troops, the Storm should be too good for the Eels in this one.

Tip: Storm by 8

PointsBet odds: Storm $1.27 (-11.5 $1.90) Eels $3.80 (+11.5 $1.90)

Wests Tigers vs. Dolphins

PointsBet Stadium, 4:05pm (AEST)

Tigers: 1. Jahream Bula 2. Charlie Staines 3. Brent Naden 4. Justin Olam 5. Solomon Alaimalo 6. Lachlan Galvin 7. Jayden Sullivan 8. Stefano Utoikamanu 9. Apisai Koroisau 10. David Klemmer 11. Samuela Fainu 12. Alex Seyfarth 13. Alex Twal Bench: 14. Jake Simpkin 15. Fonua Pole 16. Asu Kepaoa 17. Sione Fainu Reserves: 18. Tallyn Da Silva 20. Alexander Lobb

Dolphins: 1. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow 2. Jamayne Isaako 3. Jake Averillo 4. Herbie Farnworth 5. Jack Bostock 6. Kodi Nikorima 7. Isaiya Katoa 8. Jesse Bromwich 9. Jeremy Marshall-King 10. Mark Nicholls 11. Felise Kaufusi 12. Euan Aitken 13. Kenny Bromwich Bench: 14. Josh Kerr 15. Kurt Donoghoe 16. Ray Stone 17. Connelly Lemuelu Reserves: 18. Trai Fuller 22. Oryn Keeley

Officials
Referee:
Chris Butler Touchies: Drew Oultram, Todd Smith Bunker: Kasey Badge

Prediction: The Tigers had their moments against the Knights last week, but couldn't capitalise. The Dolphins put in a monumental performance to beat the Sea Eagles. The Dolphins are inclined to follow a big win with an ordinary effort and could be ripe for a massive upset here, but its very hard to actually tip the Tigers.

Tip: Dolphins by 16

PointsBet odds: Tigers $3.10 (+8.5 $1.90) Dolphins $1.37 (-8.5 $1.90)
