In theoretical physics, "Closed Timelike Curves" (CTCs) are one of the most controversial features of modern physics. They provide a legitimate solution for time travel, which sounds paradoxical, right? However, in quantum physics, these paradoxes can be resolved, making these CTCs consistent with Einstein's theory of relativity.
In episode 4 of the series Godzilla: Singular Point (GSP), Professor Li conducts an experiment named the "Ashihara Cascade." It uses the Archetype to refract the "Original Photon" that enters, then releases a "Future Photon" while simultaneously creating an "Anti-Photon" to cancel out the "Original Photon" to ensure the *property of time and the law of energy conservation. Therefore, at any given moment, both the "Original" and "Future" Photons exist, which is a CTC that quantum physics has theoretically proven for a long time.
Thus, when Professor Li places four Archetype crystals in a closed loop, light from the future is "borrowed" to the past and is reintroduced into the Archetype to continue the process. The "Photon" is extracted and reintroduced, generating more "Anti-Photons." This process repeats until the crystal cannot withstand the increasing amount of "negative" energy, causing it to explode.
Sound familiar? This is also how Godzilla Ultima performs its Atomic Breath. It fires a "CTC molecular laser beam" as explained in our previous post. The only difference is that Godzilla Ultima can withstand the overlapping of countless (with an unknown limit) laser beams, creating an extremely powerful CTC laser without any harm.
