summary
- The Cinema and Audiovisual Institute (ICA) reveals weekly rankings that show us which films attracted the most attention in cinemas;
- The previous week, the long-awaited arrival of “Challengers” with Zendaya took the lead and dethroned “Back to Black”;
- Now, “The Fall Guy” with Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt showed what it came from and managed to dethrone Luca Guadagnino’s film and catapult itself to the top.
Now is the time to look at the weekly rankings available on the official website of the Instituto do Cinema e do Audiovisual (ICA) to understand which films most pleased the Portuguese public between the 2nd and 8th of May and how this changed the Top of the most viewed.
This week, three premieres gained direct entry into this disputed Top 10, leaving behind the films: Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire (12th), by Adam Wingard; Revolution (Without) Blood (17th), by Rui Pedro Sousa and Spy X Family Code: White (15th), by Takashi Katagiri
After achieving a place in the top last week even after just one day of showing, “Profession: Danger” (“The Fall Guy”) showed that we could be facing one of the biggest hits of this summer. Interestingly, this production also marks the duo’s big reunion after being part of the “Barbenheimer” phenomenon that dominated last summer.
With changes in position and a new leader, these were the most watched films in Portugal this week:
