Sumter Police are investigating a shooting that killed a 25-year-old woman who was five months pregnant and a mother of two young children.

Police said Keyirra Walker was found Monday morning shot dead in her home on Carrol Drive in Sumter around 7:45 am.

According to Sumter County Coroner Robert Baker Walker's family spoke to her around 11:00 pm the night before and the murder happened in the early hours of Monday morning.

Her neighbor Russell Williams said the news was shocking.

"I kind of knew her as a sweet outgoing young lady, always outside playing with her kids," said Williams.

Monday evening it was a very emotional scene at her home as family and friends gathered to comfort each other and gather stuff for her two children.

Russell shared how they looked out for each other as neighbors.

"She used to love to bring her son over here to watch my dog," shared Williams.

Williams also revealed how the tragedy of losing his neighbor and another young life brings back a pain he knows all too well.

"About two years ago my son almost got killed," said Williams. "So I kind of understand what they are going through."

Police say they believe Walker knew her killer and this was an isolated incident. Right now there is no suspect.
