All the cameos and references to other Marvel characters in the latest episode of ‘X-Men 97′

Throughout the episode Tolerance is Extinction - Part 3 of ‘X-Men 97′, we see many important Marvel characters who, while not directly part of the plot, are affected by the X-Men’s adventures and the villains’ plans. These cameos are the perfect opportunity to show that the X-Men are not the only superheroes on the planet, but that there are more, each with their own struggles and problems. We start in order of appearance:

As Xavier forces Magneto to restore electricity to the planet by reversing his electromagnetic pulse, we see the Silver Samurai in Tokyo, Iron Man, and Captain America in the White House, Daredevil in the streets, and Doctor Strange performing surgery in a hospital.

Finally, near the end of the episode, when Forge is rebuilding the X-Men team, a poster with portraits of many famous mutants can be seen. While Forge believes that the missing ones may have died, there are many portraits of possible candidates who are still alive, such as Ice Man, Dust, Colossus, Angel, Magik, Exodus, or Emma Frost. Interestingly, Magneto’s children (Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch) are believed to be off-planet. The latter two characters were also seen in Magneto’s mind when Xavier explored it.

This last case is quite interesting, as these are not just cameos, but possible new characters for the second season of the series, already confirmed. Some of them, like Magik, have already appeared as one of Morph’s transformations, but their presence in this poster opens the door for many of them to appear as full-fledged X-Men.

And while not considered a cameo as such, at the end of the episode, the X-Men, who have been exiled to Ancient Egypt in 3000 BC, meet En Sabah Nur, who in the future will be the dreaded Apocalypse.
