Union Pool's Summer Thunder 2024 lineup: Mary Timony, Kid Congo, Armand Hammer, more
Brooklyn’s Union Pool has announced the lineup for its free, always fun Summer Thunder series that happens every Sunday afternoon in their back patio from June through August. This is the series’ 12th anniversary and the lineup includes some Summer Thunder regulars, a few indie rock and punk veterans, one artist who was supposed to play last year but didn’t (Armand Hammer), reggae and Latinx, droney psych and more. Here’s the lineup:
- June 2 Guerilla Toss
- June 9 Bitchin Bajas
- June 16 Rosali
- June 23 Armand Hammer
- June 30 Los Èsplifs
- July 7 Joe Bataan
- July 14 Lifeguard/Font
- July 21 Mary Timony
- July 28 Ayanna Heaven Presents Good Ting: with Red Fox, Screechy Dan, & more TBA
- August 4 Rahill
- August 11 Winged Wheel (members of Tyvek, Spray Paint, Matchess ++ Steve Shelley and more)
- August 18 Kid Congo Powers
- August 25 TBA: Watch This SPACE/PLACE
As for the 8/25 TBA, there’s is one group who have played Summer Thunder every year who are conspicuously absent and the “SPACE/PLACE” seems to be a hint it might be them. In addition to that, there are still opening acts to be announced for most shows, so stay tuned.
Summer Thunder shows happen every Sunday in June, July and August and run from 12 PM – 6 PM. They’re free and open to the public and 21+. More info is here and you can check out the poster, and the official Summer Thunder 2024 playlist, below.
