Cougar Comes Within Feet of Family While Chasing Pets in Washington Backyard

A cougar came within feet of a family at home in Monroe, Washington, as it chased the family’s pets across the yard on Saturday, May 11.

Security camera footage from the Haveners shows the moment the cougar paused its chase of the family’s two cats and glanced at a mother and young daughter, who fled inside.

“While relaxing and washing cars, our two cats being chased by a cougar ran right into the middle of our patio,” Gregory Havener told Storyful. “My wife (holding our new puppy) and daughter ran inside, while I chased it to make sure it didn’t have any pets in its mouth.
