How to share a phone number on android and iphone.
I want to share my phone number on my android phone and old apple phone so that I could receive calls and texts on both of them. My carrier does not allow e-sims or a way to share the phone number across multiple devices. How can I legitamitely share this number across these 2 devices? Is there a way to so that in the settings somehow?
Unless your provider supports something to make this happen there isn't a way to do this directly.
There probably aren't even ways to hack it because ultimately a cellular provider will only allow one active device for a sim profile by the actual network.
If you really wanted something like this you would need to use a voip service like Google voice and port your current number into Google voice (you need to then get a new cellular carrier number in order to keep cell service). Google voice will let you use across devices simultaneously.
But you'd still need a data connection on whichever device you want to use.
