Mac Gollehon & The Hispanic Mechanics: Bite of The Street

With a bright and sharp tone, trumpeter Mac Gollehon puts out an album that is kind of what Miles Davis might have released during his Jack Johnson period if he were Latino. The team of Gollehon also playing keys along with Eric Klaastad/b, Jeanne Carno/dr and Ismail Sanchez with some guests plug in and rock , with David Brenner adding sound effects on the synth funk of “Souled Out”, and Adam Perez brining in gobs of keyboards for the avalanche of percussion on “Coming At You”> Gollehon’s horn pierces with Urban R&B on “Bit of the Street” , and his muted horn simmers on the upbeat “High Drama” . Get up with it!
