Mannix

Genuinely want to know what everyone’s opinions are on Mannix? I know he’s the antagonist but there are multiple parts where he is shown in a very sympathetic way. Did he actually believe that he was helping the world by planting the bomb? Or was he just using that as a way to justify his actions to himself and his followers? He’s such a complex character so it’s hard to see him as fully evil or not

I feel a lot of sympathy for the kid. The adult, not so much. "End justifies the means" only takes you so far, and by the time you're planning to murder your own ancestor because he will not allow you to marry his teenage daughter to orchestrate your own birth, you may want to stop and wonder if it's really all such a good idea.
