Why didn't Tim Curry narrated books 3-5?

Question/Doubt

Hello! I recently learned Tim Curry narrated the audiobooks but was surprised when Daniel Handler's voice showed up for book 3, then 4 and 5. I'm curious to know why Tim Curry didn't voice these as well? Does anyone know? Thanks!

*Title typo, sorry: narrate

I'm not sure when he recorded the audiobook narration but I know that he had a major stroke in 2012 and I think he still uses a wheelchair because of it. So complications from that would be my first guess

Those audiobooks were recorded well before then. I was reading them in 2007. My guess would be that he decided to try narrating his own books, as it is a lot cheaper. But then maybe he decided that he didn’t like it, or he was getting negative responses from readers, as I know that most people don’t like his narration very much. I liked it, but that’s just me. Anyway, I don’t know any of this, this is just what I’m inferring from what I do know.

Yeah I couldn't find a reason for this, it's really disruptive!!!
