Harry Kane says Liverpool have one of the strongest players he’s ever come up against

Harry Kane has named a Liverpool player as one of the strongest he has ever faced.

Speaking to Goal on TikTok, Kane was tasked with building an ultimate defender made up of a number of different attributes.

Kane made a number of interesting choices here, and when it came to strength, he made a decisive pick.

Indeed, Kane stated that Virgil van Dijk is one of the strongest players he’s ever faced, claiming that the Dutchman is almost impossible to outmuscle.

Harry Kane says Virgil van Dijk is one of the strongest he’s faced

Kane spoke about the Liverpool skipper and his strength.

“Build a defender that could stop Harry Kane from scoring, strength?

“I’ll go with Van Dijk for strength, he’s tall, strong,” Kane said.

Van Dijk is a mountain

Harry Kane isn’t the first player to say something like this, and he won’t be the last.

So many players have named Van Dijk as one of their toughest opponents, from Dejan Kulusevski all the way to Michail Antonio.

The reality is that the Dutchman is almost impossible to get past.

Not only is he remarkably strong, he’s also incredibly quick and he reads the game better than almost anyone else.

Add all of those factors up and you have a defender who is almost impenetrable.

Yes, Van Dijk hasn’t been at his best over the past two months, but let’s not forget, prior to this poor run of form from Liverpool, the centre-back was even being tipped as a potential Ballon d’Or winner.

Van Dijk is one of the best players in the Premier League, and, as Kane says, he’s one of the strongest defenders in the game today.

There may not be a striker in world football who is capable of consistently getting the better of Van Dijk.
