A round of applause is in order for our outstanding Under 13 water polo team, who clinched the title of NATIONAL Champions at the England Schools Swimming Association U13 Girls National Championship Finals, held yesterday at Northampton School for Boys.

In an exhilarating display of skill and determination, our girls battled fiercely throughout the tournament, overcoming fierce opposition to claim the title.

The day began with nail-biting performances in the group stages, where they triumphed over Kings High School (Warwick) before narrowly losing to Bolton School for Girls by just one point.

Undeterred, the team advanced to the semi-finals as runners-up of their group, where they faced off against Notting Hill and Ealing High School. In a thrilling match, our Alleyn's girls emerged triumphant with a 4-2 win.

The greatest heights of their success came in the final, where they once again crossed paths with Bolton School. In a closely contested battle, our girls displayed exceptional resilience, securing a hard-fought 3-2 victory to claim the championship title.

Their performance was nothing short of remarkable, as they exuded a mix of tactical moves, grit and Alleyn’s spirit.

Congratulations to our incredible team for their outstanding achievement, we couldn't be prouder of their success. And, special mention goes to Miss Ody, who bravely joined the team in the water post-match, even though she forgot to bring a change of clothes!
