Question about Season 5 Finale/Season 6

So, I am a little confused. The season 5 finale had the Mid-Wilshire station team all being individually targeted and we saw a glimpse of the supposed baddy at the end of the episode. And in the Season 6 premiere, we had the crew that was robbing the federal reserve that were all subsequently caught, except for the one dude at the end who got killed by a sniper. I am all caught up through 6x9.

Is there more to this storyline I have missed? Individually targeting the main cast of characters seemed really extreme and really sideways for a plan that was to rob the Federal Reserve?

Do people think that what is going on with the red-headed lawyer toward the end of season 6 is also a part of this?

It seems like all roads lead back to Monica. My theory is that whoever is trying to kill her has something to do with the Federal Reserve heist. We have yet to meet this Ramsey character so he could be working for the “big bad” that orchestrated the heist in the first place and is trying to take Monica out to tie up loose ends.

But do you remember Monica over the phone telling someone that Boyd could be a problem ( the guy was sniped) and later he got sniped

idk i just know i'm so sick of the bad guys targeting the cops themselves. Arent they supposed to be protecting civilians?
