The premiere window for Found season 2 confirms a change to the show's release schedule. Debuting on NBC in October 2023 from creator Nkechi Okoro Carroll, the crime drama follows Gabi Mosely (Shanola Hampton) and her history with Sir (Mark-Paul Gosselaar). A former missing person herself, Mosely now leads a crisis management team that seeks out missing persons. However, the secret that the show quickly reveals is that Gabi has Sir in her basement, keeping her former abductor captive so that he can help with her cases. The Found cast also includes Kelli Williams, Gabrielle Walsh, Arlen Escarpeta, Karan Oberoi, and Brett Dalton.

NBC previewed its schedule for the upcoming broadcast season, confirming that Found season 2 will premiere later this year. The network also confirmed that the Shanola Hampton series will move to Thursdays at 10 PM ET, after Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU. The spot was previously occupied by Law & Order: Organized Crime, which has been renewed but will be moving to the NBCUniversal streaming service Peacock.

An exact premiere date for Found season 2, and NBC's other shows, has not been revealed.

Found Season 2 Will Have Big Questions To Answer

Even though he helps her with the case of the missing eleven-year-old girl, Sir's goal is ultimately twisted and he thinks of it as his way to keep himself in Gabi's life.

In the cliffhanger-filled ending of Found season 1, Sir causes chaos when he escapes Gabi's captivity. This not only threatens Gabi, given her secret, but also Lacey, another one of Sir's hostages from the early 2000s who escaped with Gabi. Sir's able to escape, in part, because Gabi is focused on the important case of a missing 11-year-old girl that stretches back to the premiere episode. She instructs Dhan to pursue Sir as she is focused on the important missing case.

While relatively innocuous at the time, it's revealed that Sir took a liking to Gabi as he taught her English class and poisoned one of Gabi's bullies just before he kidnapped her. Even though he helps her with the case of the missing eleven-year-old girl, Sir's goal is ultimately twisted and he thinks of it as his way to keep himself in Gabi's life.

This is made clear in the closing moments of the Found season 1 finale, which reveals that Sir is hiding in Lacey's basement. And just as he poisoned Gabi's bully back in her school days, Sir has now poisoned Lacey's dog. It sets up an eventful second season, which will anchor NBC's schedule on a new night as the returning crime drama is on the move, and it fits quite well with the Law & Order franchise.
