Green Irish Tweed vs. Bois du Portugal vs. Silver Mountain Water

Discussion

I've been grappling with a decision lately and I need your expertise to help me out. I'm torn between three iconic fragrances from the house of Creed: Green Irish Tweed, Bois du Portugal, and Silver Mountain Water. They're all classics in their own right, but each carries its own distinct personality.

Here's a quick rundown of each fragrance along with their pros and cons:

Green Irish Tweed:

Description: Green Irish Tweed is often hailed as a quintessential fresh, green fragrance. It opens with a burst of zesty lemon verbena and iris, leading into a heart of violet leaves and a base of sandalwood and ambergris. The overall effect is sophisticated and invigorating, perfect for everyday wear.

Pros:

Fresh and uplifting, suitable for all occasions. Excellent longevity and projection. Versatile - can be worn year-round and in various settings. Cons:

Some find it leans towards the traditional side, lacking uniqueness. Price point might be a bit steep for some budgets. Bois du Portugal:

Description: Bois du Portugal exudes elegance and refinement. It opens with a rich blend of lavender and bergamot, leading into a heart of cedarwood and vetiver, with a warm base of sandalwood and ambergris. The scent is often described as a luxurious, woody aromatic that evokes images of a sophisticated gentleman.

Pros:

Timeless and classy, perfect for formal occasions. Complex and well-blended composition. Provides a sense of sophistication and maturity. Cons:

Might come off as too mature for younger wearers. Sillage and longevity can vary depending on skin chemistry. Silver Mountain Water:

Description: Silver Mountain Water is a refreshing, adventurous fragrance inspired by the purity of mountain air and the crispness of alpine streams. It opens with a burst of citrus and tea notes, leading into a heart of blackcurrant and green tea, with a base of musk and sandalwood. The scent embodies a sense of freedom and vitality, perfect for those who crave the outdoors.

Pros:

Unique and invigorating, perfect for daytime wear. Refreshing and clean, ideal for warmer weather. Unisex appeal - can be enjoyed by both men and women. Cons:

Some may find it too "soapy" or synthetic smelling. Longevity might be an issue for some users. Now comes the hard part - choosing between the three! I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences with any (or all) of these fragrances. Which one do you prefer, and why? Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

I love the opening of Bois d P but can't stand the dry down. Silver Mountain water gives me a headache. GIT is more my jam. Great scent.

Creed GIT as it’s more versatile than the other 2… in my nose’s opinion

I love Silver Mountain Water, but it can come off a bit synthetic.
