Eurovision 2024: Why Greece did not take part in the flag parade

A few hours before her big final Eurovision 2024 and unexpected developments continue in Malmö, Sweden.

At noon on Saturday 11/5 it became known that the EBU expelled the Dutch representative, Joost Klein, as he allegedly assaulted a female associate of the production company.

After the exclusion of the Netherlands and after the episode with Ireland, which did not appear in the final rehearsal, another incident occurred with the Greek delegation and the Marina Satti.

According to what Thanos Klonopoulos said in the main news bulletin of ANT1, Greece did not take part in the beginning of the rehearsal of the final, where all the countries participating in the competition parade.

Behind the scenes of the competition and shortly before the rehearsal began, a person from the Israeli delegation videotaped the members of the Greek delegation without any consent and tried to photograph Marina Satti as well.

According to what has become known, there was a verbal confrontation with the atmosphere electrifying. The cooler ones intervened and led the missions to different rooms and for this reason Marina Satti did not march in the final rehearsal. The same happened with the mission of Switzerland and Ireland.
