Arvind Kejriwal highlights: Delhi Police brought Bibhav Kumar, arrested aide of Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in the Swati Maliwal assault case, to the chief minister's house.

Bibhav Kumar was arrested by the Delhi Police in the assault case of AAP MP Swati Maliwal. To this, Kejriwal said that the Prime Minister is playing 'Jail ka Khel' with the Aam Aadmi Party.

In a video message shared by Kejriwal on Saturday, he said that the BJP is after AAP and one after another, they are putting AAP leaders behind bars.

"They put me, Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Jain, and Sanjay Singh behind bars. Today, they put my PA in jail. Now they are saying they will put Raghav Chadha, Atishi, and Saurabh Bharadwaj in jail," Kejriwal said.

Delhi Court fixes May 20 to consider ED's chargesheet against Kejriwal, AAP. Police recorded AAP MP Swati Maliwal's statement in connection with alleged assault on her at Delhi CM's residence, according to officials.

The Supreme Court on Thursday steered clear of the political talk about it having made an exception for Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal in granting him interim bail for campaigning in the Lok Sabha polls but said "critical analysis of the judgement is welcome".

"We have not made any exception for anybody. We said in our order what we felt was justified," the bench said.

Accordingly, the application moved by the investigating officer (IO) is partly allowed and the accused is remanded to police custody for five days,” the court said.It noted the prosecution’s submissions about the need to take Kumar to Mumbai and other parts of the national capital to collect evidence, which was not possible without the accused’s custody. The MM further noted that he is “aware of the view of constitutional courts that the opportunity must be given to the investigating agency to complete the investigation in order to reach the truth of the matter but at the same time the rights of the accused are also to be protected.”Asking the IO to take Kumar into formal custody, the court directed his medical examination every 24 hours and said the investigating agency would not subject the accused to “any torture.”Kumar’s application for providing certain medicines was allowed after the end of proceedings, which started around 9.15pm Saturday.
