Crescenta Valley High School athletes participated in the CIF Southern Section Track and Field Championships at Moorpark High School on May 11, competing in the Division I pool of talent.
Falcons senior Eddie Sion finished third in the boys’ 3,200 meter run with a time of 8 minutes, 57.05 seconds.
Meanwhile, junior Kaitlin Kenny placed seventh in the girls’ 1,600 with a time of 5:02.78.
Sion will return to Moorpark High to compete at the CIF Southern Section Masters Meet on May 18. Joining Sion at the Masters Meet will be the Falcons girls’ 4×800 relay team.
The senior and relay team will be competing for a spot in the 104th CIF State Track & Field Championships starting May 24.
