According to Xports News on May 13th, the Taiwanese film “You Are the Apple of My Eye” will be remade in Korea. The lead roles will be played by TWICE’s Dahyun and B1A4 member-actor Jinyoung.

The Taiwanese movie “You Are the Apple of My Eye” (directed by Giddens Ko), which was released in Korea in 2012, depicts the blossoming emotions of a bright youth romance between the school’s problem child and the model student assigned to monitor him. Director Cho Young-myoung, who previously directed short films, will make his feature film debut with the Korean version of “You Are the Apple of My Eye”.

The film, which was also remade in Japan in 2018, is expected to portray a fresh love story in its Korean remake as well.

Jinyoung, known as the “original acting idol” from B1A4, debuted as a singer in 2011 and began his acting career with the 2012 MBC drama “The Thousandth Man”. He has been actively acting in various works such as “Persevere, Goo Hae-ra”, “Love in the Moonlight”, “My First First Love”, “Police University”, “My Perfect Stranger” and “Sweet Home Season 2”.

Jinyoung is also drawing attention for his return to the big screen after a long time since his roles in the films “Miss Granny” (2014) and “The Dude in Me” (2019).
